What is this Privacy Policy for?
1.1 This privacy policy is for this website www.waccoe.com and served by WACCOE.COM Ltd and governs the privacy of its users who choose to use it.
 
1.2 The policy sets out the different areas where user privacy is concerned and outlines the obligations and requirements of the users, the website and website owners. Furthermore the way this website processes, stores and protects user data and information will also be detailed within this policy.

1.3 It also sets out how we aim to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which replaces the Data Protection Directive 95/46/EC and was designed to harmonize data privacy laws across Europe, to protect and empower all EU citizens data privacy and to reshape the way organizations across Europe approach data privacy.  Waccoe.com Ltd is a data controller for the purposes of these regulations.
 
Consent
2.1 This website and its owners take a proactive approach to user privacy and ensure the necessary steps are taken to protect the privacy of its users throughout their visiting experience. 
 
2.2 Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. To make this notice easy to find, we make it available in our footer and at every point where personally identifiable information may be requested.

2.3 Periodically, we require all users to confirm their understanding of and consent to our terms and conditions and privacy policy during their log-in process.  This ensures that they continue to be aware of and in control of their personal data and how we use it.

Personal information

3.1 Waccoe.com Ltd only holds limited personal information on users necessary to maintain the site, which is detailed below.  Access to that information is protected by two factor authentication-based security, and limited to a small number of Board administrators "Admin" who are listed on the website.  The data is only used for the purposes set out below and is not released to any third parties for any purpose.

Email addresses
3.1 During initial account creation, Board members are required to provide a valid email address, which is used to complete the sign-up process.  We retain the email address to enable members to be notified of important board announcements from time to time and - dependent on how individual Board member choose to configure their account - to receive notifications of new board content.  retention of the email address also allows members to automatically reset their account when they have forgotten or lost their site password.  Board members are able to choose how their email address is used for these purposes through their account settings panel.

IP addresses
3.2 Our Board software retains a log of all requests for files on this website's web servers.  Log files do not capture personal information but do capture the user's IP address, which is automatically recognised by our web servers.  This information is used by Board administrators to detect and prevent account abuse, and in particular "spamming" of the board and the creation of multiple accounts to avoid bans for breaching Board rules.  This is necessary to maintain the integrity of the board for the benefit of users.
 
Cookies
3.3 This website uses cookies to better the users experience while visiting the website. Where applicable this website uses a cookie control system allowing the user on their first visit to the website to allow or disallow the use of cookies on their computer / device. This complies with recent legislation requirements for websites to obtain explicit consent from users before leaving behind or reading files such as cookies on a user's computer / device.
 
3.4 Cookies are small files saved to the user's computer hard drive that track, save and store information about the user's interactions and usage of the website. This allows the website, through its server to provide the users with a tailored experience within this website.
 
3.5 Users are advised that if they wish to deny the use and saving of cookies from this website on to their computers hard drive they should take necessary steps within their web browsers security settings to block all cookies from this website and its external serving vendors.
 
3.6 This website also uses tracking software, including Google Analytics’ 3rd-party audience data such as age, gender, and interests to better understand the behavior and interests of those using the Board.  The software will save a cookie to your computer’s hard drive in order to track and monitor your engagement and usage of the website.  Waccoe.com does not have access to personal data relating to members browsing behaviour other than at an aggregated level, how you should be aware that this information may be collected and analysed by Google, and made available to other websites to inform the sorts of advertisements you see when browsing the internet .  

3.7  You may opt out of the automated collection of information by third-party ad networks for the purpose of delivering advertisements tailored to your interests, by visiting the consumer opt-out page for the Self-Regulatory Principles for Online Behavioral Advertising at http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ and edit or opt-out your Google Display Network ads’ preferences at http://www.google.com/ads/preferences/.

3.8 Other cookies may be stored to your computer’s hard drive by third party adverts or by providers of content that is embedded in the site (such as Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, etc). Such cookies are used for conversion and referral tracking and typically expire after 30 days, though some may take longer. No personal information is stored, saved or collected by Waccoe.com Ltd in relation to these adverts.  See also section 7 below.
 

Deleting personal data

4.1 Waccoe.com Ltd periodically deletes personal data relating to accounts which have been inactive for a period of time (currently five years) and have not posted content to the Board.  This period is based on our experience of users engagement with the site.

4.2 Users can delete personal data held on them by sending a request to Admin, either by email to admin@waccoe.com or using the personal messaging facility on the site.  When such a request is made, the user's account will be deleted and all personal information detailed in section 3 above associated with the account will also be deleted.  However, published content - which is not subject to the provisions of GDPR - will not be deleted (although it will, of course, cease to be associated with the user's personal information.

5.1 Users contacting this website and/or its owners do so at their own discretion and provide any such personal details requested at their own risk. Your personal information is kept private and stored securely, and every effort has been made to ensure a safe and secure form to email submission process but we advise users using such form to email processes that they do so at their own risk.
 
5.2 This website and its owners use any information submitted to provide you with further information about the products / services they offer or to assist you in answering any questions or queries you may have submitted. This includes using your details to subscribe you to any email newsletter program the website operates but only if this was made clear to you and your express permission was granted when submitting any form to email process. Or whereby you the consumer have previously purchased from or enquired about purchasing from the company a product or service that the email newsletter relates to. This is by no means an entire list of your user rights in regard to receiving email marketing material. Your details are not passed on to any third parties.
